Cases on Teacher Leadership


MSP-KMD has produced four cases and a cross-case analysis which highlight the decisions of MSP project leaders that contributed to the sustainability of their teacher leader programs.

Cross-case analysis:

Analysis of the four cases yielded key ideas to help current and future program designers think about ways to leverage their limited resources in order to sustain the essential aspects of their teacher leader programs. Four important areas for supporting sustainability are addressed: designing and implementing interventions, garnering the support of key stakeholders, aligning policy, and developing capacity and infrastructure to scale up interventions.

Cases of teacher leadership in MSP projects:

Each case is organized around a single theme which captures the strategic decisions that shaped the teacher leadership program in each MSP. The cases include detailed information on the organizations involved in the partnership, the specific strategies of project leaders in their teacher leader programs, key issues addressed by project leaders during implementation of their programs and an analysis of the sustainability of the programs. The cross-case analysis is based on these four cases.
